Haley W. Schaefer, ESQ.

Haley was born and raised in Connecticut.

Before law school, Haley graduated summa cum laude from Lafayette College where she received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English and a minor in Women’s Studies. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and spent a semester abroad studying at the University of Western Australia in Perth.

Between college and law school, Haley spent three years as a legal assistant at Willkie Farr & Gallagher in Manhattan.

Attorney Schaefer earned her Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law where she served as co-president of the Women Law Students Organization (WLSO) and received the National Association of Women Lawyer’s Outstanding Law Student Award and also earned Washington and Lee’s Law-Related Service Award.

Prior to joining Knott & Knott, Haley practiced law in both boutique and multinational firms handling a wide array of practice areas from children’s matters to criminal defense to civil litigation to employment law.

Haley is admitted to practice law in Connecticut at the state and federal levels. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the New Haven County Bar Association.
